“Vote Earth” During Earth Hour 2009
I wonder how many of us are casting global votes for OUR earth right now. We’ll be doing our part here in New Mexico USA by turning off our lights for 1 hour, starting at 8:30 PM local time.
The theme of Earth Hour 2009 is “Vote Earth”… and it’s already started. Unfortunately, I wrongly assumed Earth Hour would be part of the Earth Day 2009 observations… hence this late post.
Here’s what the Vote Earth organization has to say…

THIS IS THE WORLD’S FIRST GLOBAL ELECTION, BETWEEN EARTH AND GLOBAL WARMING.
On March 28 you can VOTE EARTH by switching off your lights for one hour. Or you can vote global warming by leaving your lights on.
The results of the election are being presented at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. We want one billion votes for Earth, to tell world leaders that we have to take action against global warming.

Gotta get ready… candles, blankets to keep warm… it will be great talking with my husband with no distractions. Maybe we’ll tackle how today can be more like the “good old day”… only on steroids. Not the drug! Just back to basics by cutting out all the “nonsense” stuff, and keeping what matters. I can hear my ever-lov’in now… “And just what in the world does that mean!” Like I said, we have some great family time talks… without those televisions and computers in the background!
I’ll let you know what happens…
